The Yoga of Life Molly Coffman

This deep and exciting dive into the world of Yogic traditions is oriented around two truths; life is change, and yoga is a way of life. Many define the word yoga as ‘unity’ or unification. As we learn to navigate a world where change is a foundational truth, yogic wisdom teaches us how to cultivate an understanding of the unifying forces within this change.

Because everything is always shifting and transforming, through the practice and teachings of yoga, we become the Alchemists of our own lives by learning how to shape and guide the natural movement. Through inquiry and experience, we discover what is stable and trustworthy within ourselves and others as the world continues to spin around us. From the stable and tangible, with the more refined practices of yoga, we then journey into the most subtle layers of our being. In the Hatha yoga tradition, we begin our discovery with the body and the breath. Through the physical practice, breathing exercises and concentration exercises, we can discover and shed away the thoughts, behaviors and actions that can obstruct the realization of our spiritual nature and of unity itself. All of this while connecting completely with joy.

In this course, through experiential learning (practice) and the teachings of yoga philosophy, we will open our minds and hearts to a deeper understanding of ourselves. We will tap into the power of daily practice and explore how yoga helps us to understand on the physical and energetic levels, the magic of the human experience. Yoga offers practices to help us find our way toward freedom, health and contentment in life.

There are many different paths of yoga, and it is important to find the right one for you in any given moment.  Regardless of the path, Yoga becomes an approach to all of life, on and off the mat, and your practice becomes a powerful teacher and guide. Yoga teaches us that life is change, but that life is also choice. Through the practice and discovery of yoga, we open our awareness to infinite perspectives so that when we choose, we do so from a place of clarity, intelligence and freedom.
