This deep and exciting course with our Molly dives into the world of Yogic traditions, oriented around two truths: life is change, and yoga is a way of life. Many define yoga as ‘unity’ or unification. As we learn to navigate a world where change is a foundational truth, yogic wisdom teaches us to cultivate an understanding of the unifying forces within this change.
Through the practice and teachings of yoga, we become the alchemists of our lives, learning how to shape and guide natural movements. Through inquiry and experience, we discover what is stable and trustworthy within ourselves and others as the world spins around us. From the stable and tangible, we journey into the most subtle layers of our being with refined yoga practices.
In the Hatha yoga tradition, we start our discovery with the body and the breath. Physical practice, breathing exercises, and concentration exercises help us shed thoughts, behaviors, and actions that obstruct the realization of our spiritual nature and unity, all while connecting with joy. This course combines experiential learning and yoga philosophy to open our minds and hearts to a deeper understanding of ourselves. We will tap into the power of daily practice and explore how yoga helps us understand, on physical and energetic levels, the magic of the human experience. Yoga offers practices to help us find freedom, health, and contentment in life.
