Pushpa’s and Chuby’s Morning Routine

Every morning I gift myself with a morning practice. If I can't jump in the pool, I'll have a cold shower that wakes all my cells up. 

After that, I practice yoga or go for a walk, imbuing myself with the awakening nature sounds. I’m struck very morning by how the darkness of pre-dawn is touched by the first rays of sun and bursts into colours.

Finally, I like to sit or lie and meditate. My favourite meditations are the Isha Judd Unification or the Greg Braden Heart and Mind Coherence. 

I alternate these meditations and sometimes I just sit in silence.

Dulcis in fundo, as a community at The Transmission School, we most days practice Qigong together.

When I get out of my routine for a few days, for whatever reason, it takes me some time and discipline to get back into this rhythm. However,  I always realize how different I feel during the day when I'm not giving myself “me time”.

When I take care of my body, my soul's temple, I give myself time and reconnection. I'm present to my day, to people, to what I want to achieve. I'm calmer, joyful, and happy. 

Things still happen, situations, even dramas in my life, but gradually I decide not to get emotional about it and realize that usually it's not personal.

Increasingly I'm touched and feel love for the daisies in front of my feet while I'm doing Qigong. 

By the old lady in the supermarket asking her husband, “what shall we have for lunch today?” By the swallows building the nest over my head while having breakfast on the porch. 

By a bunch of kids exploring noisy poppers on the street.

Everything becomes so beautiful, so unique, so precious…

Fifteen or twenty minutes of your own practice is better than no practice.
