About the course
Standing like a tree (Qi Gong) is a way to build up our energy. To stand tall in day-to-day life. To be grounded whenever needed, no matter the turbulence around you. The easy and gentle exercises also help you to become more aware of your body and to help it to relax and loosen up.
You will also learn the tradition of Zen meditation. It offers a way to live more freely and intensely and helps you accept the unacceptable. You learn to distinguish between who you think you are and who you truly are. Zen helps you to grow determination and clarity. To set priorities, values and direction, and integrating these concretely into life.
With this unique combination we build stamina, spiritual strength to endure. Where we explore the true force, which is soft and gentle instead of hard and tough. It is your inner journey to meet your monkey mind.
A solid foundation upon which you can create a life of freedom, balance and resilience. To live with a beginner’s mind.
When we flow like a river, we let go of resistance. We just stop swimming against the current. As they say “don’t move the body – you train your Qi. Don’t move your mind – you train your spirit”.
This week, you will learn how to sit, stand and move and stay rooted at the same time by practising with:
• The five elements: Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal and how these are related to specific emotions, body organs, and e.g. the seasons.
• The monkey mind, and how to calm your body, mind and breath.
• Building a daily routines to take home
This weekly course is within ‘Freedom To Create’ programme. Whether you join for single week(s) or commit to the full 11-week programme, you'll learn to think freely, feel deeply, and see the world with newfound clarity.
