CARLOTTA PARISI
Born in Montalcino in Tuscany, I grew up with my sisters under the shade of a Great Oak, surrounded by the forests, animals, and beauty that became the center of my existence. Creativity was always part of my life, thanks to my father, Annibale, who nurtured our curiosity in an environment where materials became a dialogue between hands and imagination.
After training as an illustrator and spending nearly a decade in Milan, I returned to Montalcino, where I opened my artisan workshop in 2004.
Today, I work primarily with natural colors, creating pigments from the plants and soils I walk upon. I craft my own brushes and tools, collect leaves, seeds, and rusted objects found on my walks, assembling them with a sense of freedom and gratitude for their beauty.
My artistic expression shifts with the seasons, often weaving together words, poetry, and artist journals as essential elements of my path. Exploration and experimentation are not just the threads of my creative process but also my deepest form of meditation.
